Date: Wed, Nov. 20, 2024
Time: 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm ET
Location: Google NYC Office | 550 Washington St, New York, NY 10282
Attire: Smart Casual
OUR FEATURED EXECUTIVES:
Tony Effik - LinkedIn
• MD at Google
• Co-Founder of Black & Brilliant
• Adjunct Professor at Columbia University
• Angel Investor at Black Angel Group
Perky Effik - LinkedIn
• Co-Founder of Black & Brilliant
• Diversity Advisory Board Member
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We will gather at the Google NYC Offices at St. John’s Terminal, where dinner and wine will be provided. The group will include two executives and eight BLACKIVY members. After a brief cocktail hour, we’ll write our questions on notecards and place them in a bowl.
During dinner, we’ll pass the bowl around the table and select questions at random. This is designed to be a conversation, not a lecture. It’s your opportunity to ask candid, real-world questions about your career—questions you might not feel comfortable asking your manager or colleagues, such as:
• How to advocate for myself
• How do I connect socially with my manager
• How do I balance a relationship with my demanding work
• How do I deal with discriminatory colleagues
RSVP BY SUNDAY AT 6:00PM ET
This is an intimate dinner, so spots are very limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
This is an informal experience, so we encourage you to bring your authentic self… fr tho! All purchases are final. Refunds will not be permitted.
